Education:

Marc Mourier received his formal training in acoustics and tuning at the Tronderlag Conservatory in Norway.

 

Master of Music from the University of Wisconsin and Doctor of Musical Arts (Cand.) from the University of North Texas (UNT), in addition to adv. studies at the Rubin Academy in Israel under Leonard Bernstein and Claude Abravanel.

Marc Mourier and Piano Doctor have regulated and tuned instruments for festivals, private consumers, religious organizations and symphony orchestras since 1976.  Piano Doctor was founded in 1983 and is considered to be one of the most established piano maintenance firms in the DFW Metroplex.

 

In addition to having been an ordained organist and minister of music, Marc Mourier is the founder of the Dallas Chamber Ensemble and is an established conductor.

 

Mr. Mourier was invited as an acoustics counselor when the Fisk organ was built at the Meyerson Symphony Concert Hall.
