  Marc came over to tune our piano. It had a number of issues which he showed me and explained. It was necessary for him to take the keys and it took about a week. Our piano is now in tune and I am educated on the care and maintenance of our piano. We are very happy!

  Excellent repairs and service

  Marc is an expert. He came to tune our Yamaha conservatory grand and advised that our piano needed work. He was able to do the repairs we needed for our 50 year old family heirloom piano. He repaired tha action, cleaned the piano inside, and tuned, and it sounds like a different instrument. We will hire him again for tuning in the future. Thanks, Marc! Maizy plays her piano every day now when she gets home. We love the sound.

  My piano needed a tuning, and the hammers had the issue of double striking. He fixed the double strike and tuned it beautifully. After playing it for s couple days I noticed an issue with a few of the keys not resonating, and one of the keys not playing consistently and I asked him to come back to adjust/fix those issues. He came back and fixed both problems and didn't charge me for coming out again. He is very professional, he walked in my house and shook my hand and anyone else's hand that was home. I'll be using The Piano Doctor for all of my piano needs.

  Piano Doctor is Great

  Mr. Mourier arrived on time to answer my request for piano tuning. He opened the cabinet and immediately detected another problem which needed to be corrected before tuning. He removed the keyboard and took it back to his shop to be calibrated. He returned a week later, restored everything, completed tuning. He is very knowledgeable and a very nice cordial man. I would definitely recommend him for any issues with pianos.

  Cheaper on tuning

  I feel like he comes in with a cheaper price for tuning then finds something (questionably) wrong with your piano - takes part with him for a few days then brings it back with a large repair bill. Not satisfied at all. Now my piano has a clacking sound on some of the notes that it didn't have before. When I texted him about it he told me about humidity??? in my home. Had the piano several years and humidity hasn't affected it in all that time. So in other words he didn't feel responsible for the clacking sound. I was not aware that Piano Doctor has an unconditional 12 month guarantee on the repairs they did for me. My problem has been resolved and I am a happy customer now!

  Fantastic Service!!!

  I was extremely pleased with Dr. Mouriers service. He was able to work around my schedule and very prompt upon arrival of both visits. When he came to look at my piano, he disassembled it and showed me exactly what needed work (including estimates). He then left with the piece that needed work and said he would contact me when it was complete to schedule a time to come back (2 weeks). Only five days later he was back with the repaired parts and got to tuning. Talk about efficient:) My piano now sounds beautiful. I am very happy with my experience, and would definitely recommend him. This man knows exactly what he is doing, and I will continue to use him for the job!

  Quick yet thorough service

  Marc did an excellent job diagnosing an issue with a used piano we had recently purchased. He was able to quickly remove keys to take back to his shop to work on them on a Friday. He returned with the repaired keys the following Tuesday and quickly reinstalled them then gave the piano a complete tuning. Our piano sounds wonderful now and we thought his prices were very reasonable. Would definitely recommend!

  I was wanting my piano tuned before Christmas as the family likes to gather around to sing Christmas carols. I had some sticking keys and double-striking keys. Marc took that piece out and aligned all the heads and fixed the double strike. He also fixed a pedal which wasn't working. The piano sounds so much better now. Marc was very professional and courteous. Although he was sick for a few days , he kept in constant contact with me as to when my piano would be fixed. He completed the work before Christmas, and my family was thrilled to have our piano sounding so good. I will continue using him and highly recommend him.

  The Piano Doctor Revived An Old, Neglected Piano

  We hired Marc to tune our old Acrosonic. It had been neglected by disuse for many years. He discovered a badly uncalibrated action, and advised that tuning would be worthless without addressing the mechanical action. He quoted a reasonable price, and took the mechanism back to his shop. Within a few days, he returned and reinstalled it, tuned it, and we marveled at the results. We would recommend Marc to anyone who needs tuning or repairs. Excellent work!

• Came out promptly & tuned/fixed my piano. I had just had it moved from OH to TX, and the movers had dropped it. It was very old, but he took the pieces out and aligned them so they sounded as good as new. He played it beautifully too, obviously loves his work. Gave me lots of good pointers about how to take good care of it.

  Disappearing Doctor

  I reached out to the Piano Doctor via text, as he requested in his response to my Thumbtack work request. We exchanged a few text messages in which I offered up several upcoming dates that he might come tune my piano. He responded that he could definitely accommodate a Saturday, but then I never heard back from him on which date he would accept, nor did he offer any alternative dates more convenient for him, he simply disappeared. So I have no substantive feedback on quality of work; he may very well be a superb piano tuner, but one thing is apparent, his strength is not in client communication and scheduling.

  Marc was wonderful, it took him about 4 hours as he had to do a lot of work. My piano had not been tuned in 27 years and had never been serviced (didn't know you were supposed to) so it took a long time to replace all of the grammets (sp) before he could tune. He also repaired a couple of keys that were broke, due to grandchildren playing (banging) on the piano. They will not be allowed to play on it anymore. I would highly recommend him for piano tuning and repairs. He definitely knows his business.

  Marc came to our home about two weeks ago to look at our 45 year old, neglected piano. He diagnosed the problems and gave us an estimate of cost and time required for repair, which included removing the key bed and taking it to his workshop. Yesterday he returned as scheduled, reassembled the piano, and tuned it. The difference is remarkable! We are very pleased and impressed with his knowledge and craftsmanship! Because we had not had the piano tuned for a long time, we will need another tuning in 6 months. We have it marked on our calendar with Marc's phone number! We will certainly call him then!   I was looking for a piano tuner who could also do extra work that was needed on my very fine piano. I was impressed with the credentials of Marc Mourier which I read on thumbtack. He promptly responded to my request and was always on time for the appointments necessary to do the work. Marc Mourier had to take the keyboard to his shop to do the work necessary to make the sound more even on the piano. When it was returned I was 100% delighted with the improved quality of the sound. Other items that needed attention were also taken care of. I felt that the price was fair in keeping with all of the work that was done. I highly recommend Marc Mourier to take care of tuning and any other work that needs to be done on any piano.

  Amazing tuner! I bought a 100 year old piano at an estate sale last year that hadn't been properly maintained for years! I had another company tune it last year for twice the price, and they didn't do a very good job. Marc literally spent about an hour and a half tuning my old piano! I can't beleive how great it sounds! I highly recommend him; he's THE BEST!

  Very often, when I walk into households that have a cat, very often the cat is and and watching me and watching me and watching me tuning the piano. When I come up to the higher octaves, the Tuning is so shrill that most catd usually run away to another room. Your cat stayed the course! He is a real trooper. Long live animals....they heal.Marc

  He did a very good job with my piano. My piano has never been touched tuning wise and was handed down to me. Therr was a string broken in it, he came out to measure my string and get an idea of my piano. He told me my hammers needed to be re-actioned. I was a bit skeptical at first, but when he came back out to install the string and hammers, he not only took the time to make sure my piano sounded great, but i could hear a deffinate improvement in the way the piano sounded because the hammers now hit the strings correctly. He did a really good job. Id recomend him.

  Our piano tuning job turned into a complete keyboard action re-regisitration action, so it will take a week rather than a day. However, this is the kind of maintenance that only needs to be done every 15 years or so, so we're glad it's being taken care of.

  Considering the fact that our piano had never been tuned and had not been played in a very long time, Marc did a fine job. I had become very discouraged about ever playing until recently retiring. Now the piano sounds wonderful. Restoration work was done which was very expensive (the reason for 4 stars) but was probably necessary due to the age and non-use. The good news is I am playing again! Thank you Marc.

  Lia, unfortunately, if you let a piano sit for 30 years without attending to it, there will be some serious issues that will be coming up. Sticky keys, sluggish action and so on. You wanted to have a wonderful instrument to play with, and you got it. A musical instrument that can connect you with the Light has neither price nor value! Marc

  Marc did amazing job fixing my piano. My piano was double striking. He took the keys out and fixed them. Then he put the keys back in and tuned the piano. The sound is amazing. Great service and dependable.

  Marc came to tune out baby grand after a move across town. I was grateful for his flexibility when scheduling, and that he sent me text message updates with his anticipated arrival time. When he inspected the piano, he determined that the keyboard had been damaged during the move. He took it back to the shop and was able to repair and return it quickly. The tuning itself was fast. He explained the slight variation we have from concert pitch due to years of neglect, and explained how it will be adjusted over time with regular tunings. We are so pleased with his work!

  I am a professional musician and I had just inherited an old piano that needed complete tuning, pitch raising, fixing the action, ect. and he did an outstanding job. The price of everything was extremely fair and he was very quick and efficient to get everything done. It wasn't difficult to reach him and to get him out to my house and his schedule was flexible enough that it fit my hectic schedule. Overall this was a wonderful experience and I will be using him again in the future.

  Our church piano needed tuning and cleaning after being moved to lay new carpeting. Marc actually removed part of the piano to take back to his shop and clean. All was done in a timely manner.
